Welcome the Children’s ministry of Five Forks Baptist Church in Simpsonville, SC!
Children are so important to us that we have taken a lot of time to evaluate the best way to teach and nurture them. Knowing that we can’t possibly teach kids all they need to know about God in 1 hour a week, we want to partner with parents to make sure that together kids are getting absolutely everything that we can offer. Believing that what happens at home is more important than what happens at church we try to focus on a few things and do them with excellence. We offer classes for infants through fifth grade! We have a place here for you.

 What is Kids World?

Welcome to the Clubhouse, where fun and learning happen each week!  Children are a big deal at Five Forks Baptist Church! That’s because they are a big deal to God. There’s nothing more exciting than helping kids develop a relationship with Jesus Christ, and that is just what we do at Kid’s World! Each week is packed with fresh, creative ideas that will capture kids’ interest and keep them coming back for more. Our goal is to partner together with parents to raise children who know, love, and follow Jesus.

Sundays in Kids World

PictureSunday mornings in the clubhouse are great! Join us at 9:30am every Sunday for a hands-on experience as we learn how Christ fits into the entire Gospel Story, pre-creation to eternity with our elementary students with The Gospel Project.

Untitled-2We also offer a kid’s church for 4 year olds through 5th grade during our 10:30am service.  We are using “Worship for Life” curriculum put out by Lifeway.  It provides an age appropriate worship experience for your child.

Sunday evenings we offer the AWANA club

AWANA is a high-energy children’s ministry that blends Bible teaching, scripture memorization and tons of fun together to impact children and families with the gospel.

AWANA Clubs meet each Sunday night during the school year at 5pm. Each week children from Pre-K through 8th grade participate in fun activities that help build trust in God and Christ and teach them about Christian values, faith, and service all in a safe and Christ-centered environment.

Wednesdays in Kids World

On Wednesdays we are excited to offer a new program called “Kids CAN.”  This Creative Arts Night for kids will begin on Sept. 16th and is for children in K-4 through 5th grade.  We will begin by practicing for our Christmas performance, which will be on Sunday morning, Dec. 13th.  Kids ages 4 through 2nd grade will be part of the kids choir.  Kids 3rd through 5th grade will be given a choice of drama or sticks.

What is First Step ?

It is a class for kids and their parents that covers the topics of salvation and baptism in a fun and relevant way that children can understand.

Who Can take the First Step Class ?

First Step is a class for kids who have recently accepted Jesus as their Savior. This class is a prerequisite for children who wish to be baptized at Five Forks Baptist Church. We will discuss salvation, baptism, and how children can begin to grow in their Christian walk. After the class your child will receive a personal interview with someone on our children’s ministry leadership team. To make the class as beneficial as possible we require at least one parent to attend with their child.Click Here to Register For First Step

Nursery & Preschool Ministry

Everything we do at Five Forks Baptist Church is aimed at one goal – bringing people to Christ, and yes, nurseries have a big part in reaching that goal. Our hope is that you will feel confident that your child’s needs are being met and that you will be able to leave your child with our staff while you attend Sunday School and Worship Service of Five Forks Baptist Church .  Our nursery serves children ages five and under during the Worship Service. The Nursery is located directly off the Sanctuary with a covered entrance for those rainy days. We proudly use the Nspire Child Check-in system for all services and will gladly assist the parents as needed in this process.

Please label your child’s items. We suggest the following items to equip your diaper bag: Picture

four to six disposable diapers

baby wipes

bottles-enough for baby’s stay (well-labeled bottles)

pacifier (if applicable)

complete change of clothing

You may use waterproof ink or masking tape to label diaper bags and individual items. we can provide these items.

Children are a gift from God. We desire to provide these children with the security they need, as well as provide our parents with the security of knowing that their child/children are well cared for in our Nursery.

Please contact Jennifer Madak or the church office at 864-288-9455 with any questions.

Our Children’s Ministry Director

Jen Madak picMy name is Jennifer Joy Madak. Most people call me Jenny. I was born in 1972 in Ballston Spa, NY.  I now reside in Simpsonville, SC with my husband of 20 years, Reverend Paul Scott Madak. We have four children. Our oldest, Joel, is 18 and  a freshman at the Citadel. Our middle daughter, Samantha, is 14 and a freshman at Hillcrest High School. We also have twins, Blake and Brianna, who are 10 and attend Bell’s Crossing Elementary School. I am a graduate of Toccoa Falls College. I graduated in 1994 with a degree in elementary education. After that I taught preschool at Pelham Road Alliance Church in Greenville, SC. During this time, I also served alongside my husband who was the assistant Pastor of the church for 17 years. Together we worked with the youth, drama team, and kid’s club. Currently I volunteer at the Frazee Dream Center Preschool, in downtown Greenville and help out with the Accelerated Reader program at Bell’s Crossing Elementary School. I am thrilled to have joined the staff at Five Forks Baptist Church as the new Children’s Ministry Director. I have always enjoyed working with children! It is my desire and goal to help bring Children and their families to a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Further, it is my prayer that the Lord will use me to foster growth not only in numbers, but spiritual growth of the Children of Five Forks Baptist Church.
